bridgen

Nothing like going out for a stroll and getting some fresh air with the ones you love :) There is this rustic old bridge in our town, and it is wide open free to roam! It was a windy windy day to our surprise, so we didn't stay out for long. It is amazing to see as we go through this new season the little things like taking a walk become so special and memorable. Small town or big town, you can have a good time wherever you go! I hope you have an amazing week:) Spring is coming soon!

I spy

Good morning beautiful souls! It is a lovely crispy Saturday morning here in Glendive, MT. There is something so peaceful about weekend mornings, hanging out with your loved ones, relaxing, having no pressing demands. I thought some lovely photos of objects that are around our apartment would be fun to share. Photo props to my hubs ;) I spy: The Imitation Of Christ Book, Trev's slippers, basket of yarn, AE bead necklace, framed cloth wall art, Tozer book- The Knowledge of the Holy, framed record covers.

She likes pie

Today this was my mission. I put on some pandora and I whipped up 3 amazing banana cream pies for a super bowl party we're going to later on today. I think when they see that I made 3 pies instead of one, they will have to think, "she must like pie!" I realized banana cream pie could be for the most part pretty healthy if you use sugar free pudding, and cool whip. Oh yes! And, if you find a graham cracker pie crust instead of a flour based one. Today is a glorious day :) It is a beautiful 47 degrees out! I hope you have a wonderful, restful Sunday! GO PATRIOTS!

The Attic

my few finds
nylon floral print shirt
love the detail along the hem

Hope you had a great Friday! On my way home from work I stopped at one of my favorite places here in Glendive, The Attic! The Attic is a thrift store that is run by elderly ladies that volunteer their time pricing and organizing clothing and household items. It's the best place to grab a cart and wander up and down the isles. These ladies mean business too. They are like busy bee's all around, sorting through anything you can imagine, and putting it out on display. All the donations go to the Glendive Hospital for medical research, which is wonderful knowing when purchasing the treasures found here. Along with a pair of lovely mustard yellow salt and pepper shakers, some drinking glasses, and a beautiful green vase, I found a few numbers to add to my closet! My favorite of them all is this ivory crochet cardigan. It is the perfect mixture of chic and dainty. I can't wait to wear it :)

Trev's best friend Joel came over tonight to dine with us. It was "pizza & wing night", my favv. Look forward to a post tomorrow!

tender greens

I am learning more about myself these days. One thing i've learned is I really enjoy plants. Also I found I leap with excitement when I can find a "precious find" of a vase to go along with it! May I present to you my latest purchase from the Flower Basket (the flower shop I work at), Mr. Owl. He is quite the handsome hooter ( can I say that?) may I add. When I saw this little one, I knew I could count on him to help me take care of my tender greens that would be coming home with me from work. It was worth spending about $15 dollars to bring some character in our home. Mr. Owl will always be a part of the Hilman family now.

John 15 has been stirring in my heart this morning. He is our true source of life!

Glendive, MT

Here we are! Glendive, Montaaana! These are just a few pictures I took. Montana has a very distinct beauty doesn't it?. Very rustic like, and natural. God has been so faithful to us in this new season of moving here. I have never been to a place like this. I am so excited for the things to come, and to see how our season here will play into the future ahead. I hope your having a beautiful Wednesday! xo-ria
